CENTEX GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL FLAG FOOTBALL
EXCITING NEWS! Spring of 2012 marks the 4th season of Central Texas Girls High School Flag Football, now a club sport for female students in grades 9 through 12. Girls from Cedar Park, Leander, Rouse, and Vista Ridge make up the teams of their own schools within LISD. Girls from Westwood, Round Rock, and McNeil make up the teams of their own schools within RRISD. And welcome McNeil and LBJ, their first year in CGHSFF!
WHY GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL? Girls’ flag football is already a state sanctioned sport in Florida and Alaska and both programs boast staggering participation numbers. Over 4,800 female athletes play girls flag football in their high schools…and play it well. Girl’s flag football is one of the most popular high school sports and now you can play in Texas.
